With the theme of “light of heaven sheds on the entire world,” the 5th Shincheonji National Olympiad: Culture and Art of Heaven, is an Olympiad which includes diverse performing arts based on the opened word of the Bible and the sportsmanship of athletes. Under the slogan of “vitality, harmony and unity,” Shincheonji presented the culture of heaven, in accordance to the Bible, throughout the Olympiad in an unparalleled manner.
The official emblem of the 5th Shincheonji National Olympiad: Culture and Art of Heaven, is the eternal flame, which is symbolizes by the torch of victory and harmony.
The letters ‘S’ and ‘C’ from the word Shincheonji forms the burning flame, and announces to the world the heavenly culture of Shincheonji. In the center, the letter ‘J’ is written representing the open word of testimony of the Bible which will spread from Mt. Zion like water. In addition, the circular shape at the bottom of the emblem symbolizes the unchanged harmony and unity among the people of Shincheonji.
The characters named ‘Ari’ and ‘Omi’ are the official mascots of the 5th Shincheonji National Olympiad: Culture and Art of Heaven, and were created based on ‘alpha’ and ‘omega’ which signifies creation.
The throne of God is represented by jasper and carnelian, which symbolizes heaven and earth (the spiritual world) and the earth and mankind (the physical world) respectively. As the mascots are participating in a wedding banquet, they are wearing the Korean traditional wedding clothes with breast-pieces having 12 jewels on each of them. The breast-piece represents the priests of God. The torch in their hand symbolizes an evangelist who ignites the fire of heaven into this world. This person is a light that brings the world out from darkness.
Host - Goyang Sports Complex, Goyang-si, Gyeongi-do
The Goyang Sports Complex features state-of-the-art technology and was created based on the Law of Thirds, a traditional architectural method. It blends in well with the surrounding natural landscape. Being an important traffic center of Goyang-si, the people of Shincheonji from all over the world were able to locate the stadium with ease. In addition, Goyang is a city of cultural art, where the infrastructure for culture, sports and tourism is well built. It is also a historical place, where the town’s people fled to during the Imjin War (Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592) and won back its nation.
