[Daily Cheonji] Shincheonji Volunteer Group Hosted 'Love for all nations & Sharing of peace' for the Reunification and Peace of Korea.

Peace M.O.U. for world peace and the Korean peninsula has been signed



Shincheonji Volunteer Group Gangwon branch hosted 'The 5th Love for all nations & Sharing of peace' at Taejangdong, Wonju on the 21st of July.


On that day, 1000 people including many organizations such as ▲6.25 Veteran Association of Korea ▲Vietnamese War Veteran's Association ▲War Veterans of Distinguished Services Association ▲North Korean Association Gangwon Branch, and people from various backgrounds including religious leaders, citizens and volunteers participated in the event.


Shincheonji Volunteer Group Gangwon branch hosted 'The 5th Love for all nations & Sharing of peace' on the 21st of July at the church in Taejangdong, Wonju. Participants take a commemorative photograph. 



The 1st program of the event started with a hopeful drum performance wishing love and peace. A puppet show, 25-string Gayageum ochestra, traditional Sinawi (Korean traditional music), ballet and a taekkyeon (Traditional Korean martial art) demonstration followed. For the 2nd program, the peace M.O.U. ceremony was held.


Mr. Wonguk Kim, the branch manager of Shincheonji Volunteer Group, said  during his greeting message: "Now the Republic of Korea is heading towards a new change of peace. Panmunjeom, which has been a global symbol of division, is attracting the world's attention through the meeting between North and South Korea."


Furthermore, Mr. Kim added "Today's event began with the will of the chairman Man Hee Lee who, as a Korean war veteran, has devoted himself to peace in the Korean peninsula and the cessation of world wars."


On that day, Gangwon branch signed an M.O.U. with 40 people including war veterans, religious leaders and leaders of volunteer groups for the establishment of a cooperative network and mutual interaction for a free, liberal and peaceful reunification of the Korean peninsula and for eternal peace.

Mr. Min-soon Park, Vice President of the Vietnam War Veteran's Association, said in his congratulatory speech "This event has a very significant meaning as the wind of peace blows across the world. Recently, the world has been paying attention to the two Koreas for the achievement of peace between North and South Korea. As a war veteran, I will help peace carry out events  for world peace. Let's work together to create an age of love and peace that transcends boundaries, race and the religion".

Dae-ub Kang, Director of Gangwon Peace Share Center and branch manager of HWPL WARP Office Gangwon branch, expressed his gratitude in his congratulatory speech, saying "Only people who love their country can host this event that thanks and commemorates veterans and patriots who devoted themselves to their country. I hope that today's event to be a seed of for a peaceful country.”


At the event, various booths that helped participants interact were set up such as ▲Showcase of the people of peace and the messenger of peace for people who have prioritised the work of world peace ▲The tree of reunification ▲Face Painting ▲Making a pinwheel of peace ▲Making a handkerchief of peace ▲A traditional Korean game.


Ms. Soo-jung Kim who participated in the booths said "I have seen many people suffer from division of the Koreas and I reflected about how much I yearned for and desired peace in Korea. This event moved me to think how I can love my country as a Korean."


Meanwhile, Shincheonji volunteer Group has been giving selfless love that asks for nothing in return like the light, rain and air through volunteering in various fields including culture, medical aid and veteran's welfare. The group hosted 'Love for all nations & Sharing of peace' to give thanks to the sacrifice of national martyrs and souls who defended their country in pursuit of peace in Korea.
