Shincheonji - 251 - Deception and Victorious Faith
Deception and Victorious Faith
All people can feel, hear, see, think, and have a consciousness. However, just as there are real and fake things in the physical world, there are real and fake things in the spiritual world as well. Deception or temptation and lies exist more in the spiritual than the physical world. Deception and deceiving acts also happen more in the spiritual world. Deceiving others and being deceived result from one not being able to stand firmly.
When Jesus’ disciples asked about the signs of the end of the age, the first thing Jesus said was to “watch out that no one deceives you (Mt 24:3-4),” and at that time (the end of the age) many will turn away from the faith and receive trials (Mt 24:5, 10). In the Lord’s prayer that Jesus taught us, it is written we should pray, “lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one,” (Mt 6:13).
As seen in Revelation, that time is the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth (Rv 3:10).
Adam and Eve were the ones who inherited all creations on heaven and earth yet they were enticed by Satan and committed the act of rebellion and betrayal against their own Creator, the Lord (Gn 3). Adam and Eve did not keep God’s word, and therefore, could not overcome the deception of the snake and lost many things. Before we make any judgment regarding the wrongdoing of Adam and Eve, we should take a look at ourselves and see what we are like.
Even though Eve knew the word of God, she did not keep it, and Adam ate the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil without any concerns or doubts as he was deceived by Eve, with whom he was united as one body (Gn 3:6). Was it because Adam trusted Eve too much? Eve received the word of the snake, or the seed of the snake, and became the same as the snake. Behaving like a snake, Eve put deadly poison, that is, the serpent's seed (word) into the fruit and gave it to her husband Adam (refer to Rv 20:1-2, Mt 23:33, Dt 32:31-33, Lk 8:11).
Jesus came to bring fire on the earth and he did not come to bring peace but division (Lk 12:49-50). If the fire is kindled, family members will be divided against each other because of the Word, or fire. For instance, suppose there are five people in a family divided against each other, three against two and two against three. They will be divided, parents against children and mother-in-law against daughter-in-law (Lk 12:52-53). Why is there division? It is because the fire, or the Holy Spirit, went into some but not to others. Therefore, there will be division as other family members have a different spirit in them. How can good and evil spirits live in one house?
The evil spirits cause husband and wife, father and son, brothers, and mother-in-law and daughter-in-law to hate each other and hand their loved ones over to the place of death (Satan's group). The evil spirits cause people to throw away the grace they received from God. Just like what Eve did to Adam, they make people believe in the evil that belongs to their group and not believe in the good. This is what Jesus, the Lord, had told us in the New Testament.
The evil spirit that deceived and went into Adam and Eve a long time ago and possessed their spirits still keeps people from knowing the true God and from hearing the word and from going to the place where the word is. This is why there are disputes. Even though pastors and denominations claim to be orthodox, previous things that have become corrupt and degenerate are wrong and what God has newly created is true.
The devil fears the preaching of the fulfillment of the Biblical prophecies more than the preaching of the prophecies themselves. Looking at the 6,000 years of biblical history, God created new things because the former things became wrong, and in order to fulfill the prophecies, He comes to the promised pastor and dwells in him. Today, the fact that the New Testament prophecies have been fulfilled is proof that the Lord has come to the world. If someone in a family testifies as such, other family members that do not belong to God will be against this and oppose it.
Ironically, the latter curses and labels those who tell the truth (family members) as heretics and demons (refer to Jn 8). Moreover, they take their family members by force to their church’s pastor to listen to their teachings. Such behavior is an act of great sin and deception as they are sending their own family members (children, parents, siblings, etc.) to hell. Therefore, despite the relationships between father and son, husband and wife, and brothers and sisters, one’s actions and to which group one belongs determine the destination they are headed--heaven or hell. This is the reality of religion. As recorded in the Bible (Ez 18), if in a family only the father has committed a sinful act, only he will go to hell. If only the son did righteous acts, then only he will go to heaven. In other words, the righteousness of a righteous person returns to him, and the evil of an evil person also returns to him. It is the same as what is written: “The fathers eat sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge?” (Ez 18:2).
If one listens to the true word of Jesus and the promised pastor and the true God and passes this on to his family, the family members will regard what they heard as heresy because it differs from their pastor’s teaching or their own thoughts. Due to this, disputes within families occur. In facing life and death (refer to Dt 30:19-20), would you follow your family or the true word of God? Whoever keeps the word of promise earns salvation and eternal life (Mt 7:21, Jn 14:23, Rv 1:3).
Between Cain and Abel, and Jacob and Esau, who was the truth and who earned salvation? Whoever does not receive the revelation does not know the true God, the fulfillment of the prophecies, nor the promised pastor (refer to Mt 11:27) and will become the persecutor. Shincheonji has mastered the Bible and testifies about the revealed fulfillment (the fulfillment of the New Testament prophecies) based on the 5 w's and 1 h (who, when, what, where, why and how). Those who hate Shinchonji are governed by the devil’s spirit (refer to Jn 15:18-19). The actions of the persecutors up until now have been acts of animals rather than that of humans.
Anti-Shinchonji people have uploaded hundreds of thousands of persecuting lies on Internet cafes and blogs to destroy the work of God’s revelation. Those lies are stopping their church members from going to Shincheonji, where the word of truth is being told, and those who persecute Shincheonji are mistaking lies for the truth because they are deceived by their pastor. If members from other churches also believe in the lies, then they are also deceived. Would they have anything to say when the time of judgment comes and the truth us revealed all over the world (Rv 20:12-15)?
Like Jesus, I pray that the saints would not be deceived by the lies (refer to Mt 24:4) and that they would come into the Word (the Bible) and carry out a true life of faith.
