Shincheonji Church of Jesus - 1018 - The Promise of God: The New Kingdom, the New People, and Their Qualifications
The Promise of God:
The New Kingdom, the New People, and Their Qualifications
After the sin committed by Adam, God established the world of Noah and the world of Moses, the physical Israel. However, like Adam, they have all broken the covenant (Hos 6:7), and betrayed. As a result, God planned something new and swore to fulfill it (Isa 14:24-27) – to create a new thing; to plant two types of seeds; and to make a new covenant (Jer 31).
These are the prophecies of the Old Testament—the secrets of the kingdom of heaven. They were all fulfilled through God’s promised pastor, Jesus (Jn 19:30).
With his blood, Jesus established the new covenant on the night of the Passover with his disciples (Lk 22:14-20). This is the New Testament that we must keep, and the New Testament is the prophecy that Jesus will fulfill at the time of his second coming. The prophecies of the Old Testament and the New Testament are the secrets of the kingdom of heaven that will be fulfilled. Until that time, no one can understand them. The prophets that prophesied them longed to see the fulfillment but could not. Today, those who see the fulfillment of the New Testament are truly blessed.
However, no one in heaven or on earth saw or understood the New Testament’s secrets of the kingdom of heaven—Revelation, the new covenant—until they were fulfilled. The difference between the fulfillment of the new covenant and that of the worlds of Adam, Noah, or physical Israel is far too great. God’s new kingdom and people of the new covenant are recreated, to be born of God’s seed.
God has promised a new thing with the prophets of the Old Testament. Jesus has done the new thing at the First Coming (Jn 5), and established the new covenant with his blood. The Second Coming is the time to fulfill Jesus’ promise of re-creation. The new kingdom and people created with the new covenant are like a bowl that’s used for a noble purpose.
The believers at the time of re-creation must know who they are in the Bible. They must check if they have been created according to the promise of the Bible, and if they have the qualifications to enter the New Heaven and New Earth and Holy City, the New Jerusalem.
The word of God is life and light (Jn 1:1-4). Those who do not understand the word of promise in the new covenant (word of Revelation) are darker than the night of this world. How could the blind and deaf have the qualifications to enter the Holy City, the kingdom of heaven?
The believers of this world are darker than the non-believers. Because they interpret the Bible arbitrarily, it is as if they do not have the book of God, although they do. The churches of this world have used God and the kingdom of heaven as their business. Shincheonji, the Church of Jesus, has kept the new covenant. They have been created as the new kingdom and people of the new era and possess the qualifications to eternally live with God in the paradise of the kingdom of heaven.
Countless martyrs have dedicated their lives because of their hopes in this very nation. How could we be careless knowing this fact today? We must do the work of God with all our bodies, hearts, and will, in order to belong to the new kingdom and nation. The heavens, the earth, and all creation are gazing upon us. Hope is gained through our faith and deeds. Let us all work with the Lord and become children of the glorious kingdom of heaven (refer to Rom 8:17-18). Amen.
