Shincheonji Church of Jesus - 1027 - Roots of Christianity and Calvinism
Roots of Christianity and Calvinism
Main reference: Jn 8:31-47
Adam and Eve didn’t keep God’s command but betrayed God, committed sin and became slaves to sin, that is, slaves to the serpent.
A slave to the serpent is a slave to the devil. They became enemies of God who is the Word in the beginning.
The Jews that Jesus spoke to in John 8 are from one of the twelve tribes of Israel (refer to Isa 1). As shown in 1 Kings 11, due to Solomon’s sin of worshiping idols, 11 tribes became gentiles belonging to the devil. The remaining tribe (tribe of Judah) eventually received destruction by a gentile nation. The people of this tribe of Judah are the Jews spoken of in Isaiah 1 and John 8.
These Jews thought they were the only family of God. However, Jesus saw and knew the reality of the actions and sins these Jews committed as well as the prophecy God made regarding them. So, Jesus spoke to the Jews who had believed him saying, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (Jn 8:31-32) The Jews didn’t know the position they were facing and continued to believe they were with God. They didn’t know the truth, which is the prophecy and reality of God’s scriptures, and furthermore didn’t know they were slaves to sin.
At that time, God was within Jesus (Jn 14:11), and God spoke through Jesus’ lips (Jn 14:24). Therefore, the words Jesus spoke were words from God. This is the root of Christianity.
The Presbyterian denomination has its origins in the teachings of Calvin. Calvin-based Presbyterian churches have spoken lies as Calvin did and have committed the same actions as the murderous institutions that perform coercive conversion education.
Jesus said those who lie belong to their father, the devil, who speaks lies (Jn 8:44). He also said, liars do not believe in truth because they belong to the devil (Jn 8:45-47). The Presbyterian Church has its origins in the teachings of Calvin and the seed of the devil, so their actions (murderous coercive conversion education) are like those from Calvinism.
Those who were a part of the Presbyterian denomination bowed down to and praised Japanese gods during the era of Japanese colonial rule. Presbyterianism became the root of the Christian Council of Korea (CCK). The CCK President and its pastors received their titles through money. This is not Christianity. Therefore, those who came out from the CCK did so according to 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, to not be yoked unequally with them but, to come out to the truth.
Therefore, the purpose, actions, and doctrines behind Christianity and Calvinism are different.
Shincheonji, Church of Jesus is not a church from before the fulfillment of the prophecies of Revelation. It is new heaven and new earth, a new people and a new nation. This is a new thing fulfilled according to Jesus’ New Testament prophecies in Revelation. These people are the fulfillment of God’s promises and the establishment of the nation the people of God have hoped for.
According to God’s promise in the Old Testament (Jer 31:27) He sent Jesus, the promised pastor, and planted the seed (Mt 13). Just as Jesus who sowed the seed had promised, today, at the time of the Second Coming the firstfruits who are harvested (Rv 14), sealed, and belong to the twelve tribes (Rv 7) are the new nation and new people, Shincheonji church. Amen.
